Romans 13:11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
I like to begin by saying, that prayer is a proof of total dependence on God.
Here me your dependency on God, is a proven by your prayer life.
Those who depend on God will pray to God
The bible says in Proverb 3:5-6
5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Bible says in Psalm 37:5
5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
- Prayer is the platform set by God Almighty for asking and receiving from God.
Prayer is designed by God Himself
The bible say in
Psalm 81:10
10 I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.
Jeremiah 33:2-3
2 Thus saith the LORD the maker thereof, the LORD that formed it, to establish it; the LORD is his name;
3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
We ask God through prayer, and we received through prayer.
Mathew 7:7-8
7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Our provision from God is loaded in the prayer we offer to God. You get from God, what your pray you ask of Him.
In Mathew 6: 11 Give us this day our daily bread.
- Prayer create an escape route from temptation
It is a prayerful lifestyle that empowers you to escape the temptations of the devil
Mathew 26:40-41
40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
The escape rote out of temptation is prayer, weather you know it or not temptation will come your way. But as long as you are prayerful there must be a way out of every temptations
Jesus taught his disciples to pray like this
In Mathew 6:
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
- Prayer grantees our deliverance
Here the enemies will come your way but by prayer, there must be an escape rote
The bible says in
1 Peter 5: 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
In Psalm 34:17
17 The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
20 He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.
